So, learning to blog and replacing the ‘place holders’ with actual content gives me an opportunity to tell you about one of my loves.
Skulls. I Love Skulls. I was the kid in class daydreaming and doodling on my notebook in class instead of doing the actual work. I would just draw everything in weird line doodles but I would always draw skulls. My father told me a story about when I was a child, maybe 3 or so, my dad had a human skull that he ‘obtained’ from a medical university. It sat on the old box tv in the living room and he said I loved that thing. Would even talk to it like kids talk to stuffed animals. So the apparently this skull thing runs deep.
They just seem so immortal and timeless. Like yes you’re dead and gone but the vessel that held you still remains in a skull. It feels like when I stare at a skull a part of myself is staring back. It brings me comfort and a sense of peace. I have a collection of 50 or so skulls (no real ones) and every other shirt I own has a skull on it.
I am not alone in this fascination, no. I have an amazing group on Facebook called I Love Skulls that has over 220,000 skull loving maniacs in it! I have seen almost every single skull thing a ma jig there is out there and I still can’t get enough. Oh, and yes I had a page called I Love Skulls with 330,000 fans, and Mark Z. unpublished it. Thanks Mark, not gonna forget about that pal.
So if you’re like me in regards to skulls give a shout out and a little about your own skull love! Also check my group on fb and yeah I have a whole skull collection of shirts and mugs for sale too!
And as I often weirdly say “More Skulls, Less Drama”.
